Student organizations and departments may on occasion host collection drives to solicit items for causes. There is a two week maximum for placement of boxes or bins and the following guidelines must be followed:
- Boxes must be completely covered/decorated and should include the sponsoring organization or department’s name, dates of the collection, and the place where items will be donated.
- Groups and departments are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the donation area and should not allow donated items to exceed the space of the box.
- Donations must be emptied daily and moved to a secure location.
- DePaul does not offer temporary storage space for donations. Unattended cash donation collection containers are not allowed.
- Donation boxes may be requested for a maximum of two weeks.
- There is a limit of two donation boxes for any given donation drive for any organization or department. Note, boxes in the Student Center can only be placed underneath the Atrium stairs unless or in an approved departmental office.
Additionally, please note that DePaul University is not responsible for securing the items within a donation drive box during it's placement in university facilities.
