Events with Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages may not be served at events sponsored by student organizations without authorization from the Office of Student Involvement. Unless risk management mechanisms are in place, authorization will generally not be given to any student organization that is hosting an event at which students under 21 will, or could be, present.

Host liquor liability insurance is required for student organizations to host events with alcohol, and you will be required to provide a copy to the office of Student Involvement prior to event approval.

All student organizations hosting an event with alcohol must review, understand, and abide by all Code of Student Responsibility Policies for Alcohol.

Student Organization cannot use SAFB or CAFB funds for any event where alcohol will be present. If the event has been approved for SAFB or CAFB, the event will be denied. If the event was approved prior to the SAFB or CAFB request, the funding request will be denied.
