Involvement Opportunities

Inclusion, academics, entertainment, and leadership are the four pillars of DePaul University Esports. Based on our university values, DePaul Esports in an inclusive community that honors and respects human dignity through gaming and in gaming. DePaul prepares students for careers in or associated with the exploding esports industry in majors that range from game design to sports management. With a large and dedicated community of gamers amongst our students, DePaul’s esports activities include teams competing in BIG EAST esports seasons and tournaments, gaming centers in residence halls, pop up gaming lounges, and gaming-centered events. Each of these initiative establishes DePaul’s students and our university as a leader in collegiate esports.

DemonTHON is a year-long fundraising organization, dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children at Lurie Children's Hospital. Our efforts lead up to The Big Event, a 12-hour student-run Dance Marathon every spring. Throughout the year, we hold various campus events at DePaul University that engage students. These events raise awareness about our mission and offer families a much-needed day of joy. Join us in spreading positivity and giving back to those who need it most.

Every participant also sets their own goal in Donor Drive, our online fundraising tool. We have special fundraising days in honor of children in our community, and participants can leverage their personal network to meet their goal. They can easily track their progress in real time, and those who raise $1,000 or more join our prestigious Comma Club. The Student Government Association is the official representative body of the students of DePaul University. We are one of three facets of the university governance structure (SGA, Staff Council and Faculty Council) comprised of an Executive Branch and Cabinet, a Senate, and Student Organization liaisons representing every student constituency at DePaul.

In the past, SGA has led the charge in a number of key issue areas including, but not limited to, fighting for the longevity of the Monetary Award Program (MAP), collaborating on the creation of kosher and halal meal plan options, creating the intercampus shuttle service between the Loop and Lincoln Park, expanding Vinny Van service to last for the entire academic year, calling for better safety infrastructure, expanding accessibility features in campus buildings, and more. This regularly brings us face-to-face with University administrators as well as state and local officials.

The DePaul Voter Hub is here to provide you with the nonpartisan information you need to register to vote and educate yourself. With students specializing in helping their peers to vote in a timely and nonpartisan manner, the process have never been easier. We are a group of students, faculty, and staff focused on increasing DePaul participation in our democratic process.
