Fraternity and Sorority Life 101 (FSL 101)

This is Fraternity and Sorority Life 101 (FSL 101). This is a set of learning modules for all newly inducted or initiated members in our DePaul FSL community. The purpose of FSL 101 is to provide knowledge, conversation, and University support and resources for our FSL students. There are 4 Modules that are required for new members to complete.

The Modules of FSL 101 are:

  1. Getting Started: Welcome to Part 1 of FSL 101, our educational programming series for newly initiated and inducted members into FSL at DePaul. Please complete each task (video, reflection guide) before moving on to Part 2.
  2. Health and Safety: Part 2 of FSL 101 includes a series of educational modules dedicated to the health and safety of members in the FSL community. You will have the opportunity to connect with various campus partners and resources at DePaul to support student success.
  3. Additional Resources: Part 3 of FSL 101 includes various resources and support structures for FSL students at DePaul. Take your time moving through the various resources listed below and connect with your Council Advisor for any questions or further educational opportunities.
  4. Reflection Exercise: Thanks for engaging with our FSL 101 education module series! We hope that you learned a lot and can take back valuable resources to your organizations! Please take a moment to complete the required Reflection Exercise in order to satisfy the FSL 101 completion requirement.

Alcohol Education Training

This online DeHUB training must be completed by all Chapter Presidents and Chapter Risk Management Officer (or equivalent position) within the first two weeks of the officer’s transitioning quarter. The officers only need to complete this training once during their officer term. The above officers only need to complete this training once during their officer term. Each officer must complete and pass the Alcohol Education Training Quizzes (3) and Reflection Guide for this training to be considered complete.

NOTE: This training must be completed regardless of a chapter proposing to hold/host an alcohol event in the academic year.

The three Modules in the Alcohol Education Training include:

  1. General Risk Management
  2. Attending Events with Alcohol
  3. Hosting Events with Alcohol

Take Care FSL

Take Care FSL is an educational module that was created to help facilitate a holistic learning experience for student leaders in the DePaul Fraternity and Sorority community. This module centers on topics such as consent, bystander intervention, values exploration, and harm reduction. We acknowledge that this learning module is a primer for continuous education for the leaders in our community and we hope that build on what they learn in this module.

Officer Leadership Series (OLS)

OLS serves as an educational and development resource series for our fraternity and sorority life leaders at DePaul University. This series will cover various topics as they relate to the every day logistics and operational aspects of fraternity and sorority organizations at DePaul. Topics include reserving campus programming spaces, managing chapter rosters, understanding the policies of FSL, and support on successful event programming.

The goal of OLS is to serve as a resource center for our FSL leaders to train, educate, inspire and create within our community.

The OLS offerings include:

Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV)

The Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV) is a multi-day fraternity and sorority leadership conference. AFLV exists to accelerate progress in fraternity/sorority communities through change enabling experiences while engaging nearly 300 campuses, and over 4,000 fraternity and sorority members across the country. While attending AFLV expect to experience, Leadership Skills, Networking, Community Building, Values & Ethics.

AFLV Central 2026 will take place from January 29, 2026 - February 1, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana
