All Club Sports are registered student organizations formed by a group of students to further their common interests in an activity through participation and competition. The common interests should be competition, instructional, or performance-based and should promote physical activity. Each Club Sport will determine its own membership guidelines, but they must be free of any restrictions or discrimination based on race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation. Any restrictions based on gender are subject to the approval of DePaul and the Department of Campus Recreation.

While the Club Sport staff and Campus Recreation assist clubs in their operations, the emphasis is on student leadership and development. Students are directly and ultimately responsible for all aspects of operating and managing a successful and competitive organization. As a result, Club Sports present a unique opportunity for students to develop both athletic and leadership abilities, which will assist participants well beyond the years spent at DePaul University.

The purpose of the ANKLE organization is to develop student knowledge regarding the various professions in podiatric medicine. It is designed to encourage students with the hopes of becoming of doctor of podiatric medicine and illustrate the admission process through seminars, guest speakers, workshops, and community service opportunities. We believe that the law, and, in particular, the Constitution, serves human values. We believe that the Constitution is a charter of liberty, the blueprint for a noble and unique experiment designed to prevent the excesses of government in order to protect the human dignity necessary for individuals to realize the full potential of their lives. The goal of the Constitution, and the United States it created, is to permit the People to succeed in the "pursuit of happiness," one of the inalienable rights this nation explicitly was founded to secure to the American people.

Black Artists of Today (BAT) was formed in order to give space to black voices that may, at times, feel silenced, unseen, misunderstood, unheard or ignored. Our mission is to create a community for black actors to apply learned material while exploring other talents through devised work. BAT provides a safe place for our members to speak and create freely to bring themselves to the larger community. BAT provides black actors, within The Theatre School, a place to discuss the dynamic that their presence has within The Theatre School and the overall DePaul community. BAT is the forum for black actors to help transition back into the greater ensemble that works towards being inclusive, supportive and diverse. Within this group, we celebrate each individuals’ perspective on the black experience, whether it be an oppressive or priviledge state and crafts their lived experiences into theater. BAT is made up of Black artists that come from different religions, cultures, classes, gender, sexuality, regions, and experiences that all fall under the wide umbrella that is “Blackness”. BAT invites audience members to step outside of their own existence and take a peep through the lens of young, gifted, and black artists.

Camp Kesem at DePaul is a non-profit student organization. The student-run summer camp program serves children ages 6-18 whose parents have, have had, or have passed away from cancer. The Camp Kesem at DePaul program is a summer camp that serves a commonly neglected portion of the cancer community and allows campers to build self-esteem and gain support from peers undergoing similar challenges. The War Resisters League describes nonviolence as “an active form of resistance to systems of privilege and domination, a philosophy for liberation, an approach to movement building, a tactic of non-cooperation, and a practice we can employ to transform the world.”

DePaul’s chapter of Campaign Nonviolence is a space where students are invited to explore strategies and practices of active nonviolence through education, conversation, and community engagement. Meetings will consist of informative opportunities regarding various nonviolent tactics and methods of organizing. We will analyze the work of others, as well as build off of each other’s ideas and personal experiences. We will host regular trainings and workshops on nonviolent activism, restorative justice, civil disobedience, direct action, and movement-building.

The Community Peacemakers Initiative (CPM) is a partnership between the Chicago Public Schools and DePaul University. CPM matches Peacemakers with high school teachers and their students. In the classroom, Peacemakers, in collaboration with their teacher, will facilitate a series of activities that explores the roots and systemic causes of violence, peace, and how the students can enact change. The activities culminate into a final Peace Project, where the students choose to use what they learned during the year to promote peace in their communities. Currently, CPM is only a group for enrolled students.

LIFE as a part of DePaul Community Service Association provides students with service opportunities to communities in need, while encouraging students to develop their sense of purpose in light of their service involvement. A unit of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse (WRD) is concerned with the nature of written communication. The development and expression of ideas in writing constitutes the very foundation of the liberal arts, and more broadly, contemporary democratic culture. In government, education, and all manner of professions, it is through writing that we determine our values, define norms of appropriate behavior, and pursue our goals.

Our lives are increasingly mediated by digital technologies that use writing to organize sound and image in interactive spaces like the World Wide Web, and through text messaging and email, individual identity and interpersonal relationships are progressively bound up with writing. At the same time, we face growing demands for communicating across national, cultural, and linguistic borders, requiring us to rethink many assumptions we may have about written communication and expression. The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, & Discourse engages various writing practices and genres to prepare students to excel in the range of contexts in which they will go on to write.

WRD is home to three undergraduate programs: DePaul's First-Year Writing program the Minor in Professional Writing; and the Major in Writing and Rhetoric. At the graduate level, the Master of Arts in WRD addresses writing in professional and technical contexts, the preparation of postsecondary teacher-scholars in writing, and the study of language for writers. WRD also offers two Combined BA/MA programs, which link the Writing and Rhetoric BA with either graduate program and allows undergraduates to begin taking graduate courses in their senior year.

The act of writing in general and each student's writing, in particular, are of central concern in all WRD courses. Theories of language, rhetoric (how to make effective choices as writers), and discourse (the way writing structures human activity) develop students' understanding of how the individual act of writing is bound up in broader contexts of institution and ├óÔé¼ÔÇ╣culture

We are DePaul’s Main Athletic & Competitive Spirit Squad for Cheerleading & Dance. We are the official sponsored, recognized, and insured Cheer & Dance program for DePaul University. Our Athletes are part of the University Athletic Department and are recognized as the official Cheer & Dance Teams for the University.

We are seeking dedicated athletes who are ready to commit their time and training towards our 8-month program. DePaul University Athletic and Competitive Dance & Cheer Teams kicks-off the season in early September and concludes in April by promoting school spirit at basketball games, traveling to tournaments in and out of state, campus events, and have the opportunity to compete nationally (NCA/NDA College Nationals). Prep for this may start during the summer with summer intensive and summer camp moving forward.

CHAARG liberates girls from the elliptical + shows them that fitness can [+ SHOULD] be fun!
