ABOUT WOCA MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

  • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The WOCA Mentorship Program (WMP) facilitates mentoring relationships by pairing DePaul WOCA Members with mentors in the Chicago area. The program was founded in the Fall of 2023 by the founding members of WOCA to connect undergraduate students of color with practicing attorneys and encourage the development of professional relationships. Today, our mentors come from many career paths, including law firms, public interest organizations, government, and business endeavors, providing undergraduate students with exposure to a wide array of viewpoints. The program encourages discussion of issues relevant to women both during the process of applying to law school, law school and as they begin their careers. The WMP enables participants to develop meaningful mentoring relationships, hear different perspectives on Law School, the practice of law, and learn about the many available career options within the legal field.

This program is exclusive to current WOCA members, must be a registered WOCA member through DeHub to be considered in the WMP program.
