FSL Quarterly Report Reminder
All FSL chapters must complete and submit a Quarterly Report at the end of each academic quarter. The Quarterly Report allows the FSL staff to learn more about chapter operations, use data to advocate for the needs of the community, celebrate the accomplishments of each chapter, and receive feedback on ways to make the community stronger.
The submission deadlines for these Quarterly Reports are as follows:
Fall Quarter: Friday, November 7, 2025

Certificate of Insurance (COI) Reminder
All fraternities and sororities must have an up-to-date Certificate of Insurance (COI) on file to remain active and host events. The COI protects your chapter and the university in case of liability and ensures compliance with national risk management policies. If your chapter’s COI is expired or will expire soon, please upload the updated document to DeHub as soon as possible.
No events, especially those involving alcohol, may occur without a current COI on file.

Chapter Roster Form
Update Your Chapter Roster!
All chapters must maintain an accurate roster, including officer roles, advisors, and new members.Accurate rosters help FSL maintain updated officer and advisor contacts, ensuring important communication reaches the right people. Please fill out the form linked below —it’s quick and ensures your chapter remains in good standing.
Having accurate records allows us to better support your chapter and keep your leadership connected to FSL resources.
Recruitment & Intake Steps
We want to ensure that chapters understand all the steps required before starting the recruitment or intake process and what is needed during the continuation of the recruitment or intake process. Chapters are required to complete a series of FSL Recruitment/Intake Steps. These steps are essential for event approval, risk management compliance, and chapteraccountability.Step 1 is required for ALL chapters even if you are not participating in intake this quarter.
Please submit these steps in accordance with their designated deadlines to ensure that there are no delays in your recruitment process.
Reminders: Mailbox & Packages
Check Your Chapter Mailbox!
All FSL organizations have a mailbox in OSI (2nd Floor of the Student Center). Please make sure to check it regularly(weekly) for mail or event notices. Failure to check mailboxes may result in loss of mailbox privileges or discarded materials.
If a package comes into OSI for your chapter or council, you will be given 2 weeks to come and pick up the package or it will be discarded. We do not have the space to hold on to packages in the office for more than 2 weeks.
IMPORTANT: All chapter mailboxes will be emptied on November 21, 2025, so please make sure you check your mailbox before then!
FSL 101
FSL chapters are required to have all Neos and New Members complete FSL 101. This is a set of learning modules and reflections for all newly initiated members in our DePaul FSL community. The learning modules consist of the following:
Blue Demon Duty
Health and Safety
Campus Partner Resources and Support
Values Identification
All newly initiated members must complete FSL 101 within 3 weeks (21 days) of their initiation date (provided in FSL Recruitment/Intake Step 1).
Vinny Vows Training
The Vinny Vow is a Bystander Intervention Training hosted by the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) that empowers participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively assist in the prevention of sexual and relationship violence. Make sure you register and attend your required Vinny Vow Training as a new member to the Fraternity and Sorority Life community at DePaul.
New members initiated in the Fall 2025 Quarter must register and attend a Vinny Vow Training before the end of the Winter Quarter 2026. Each session can only take 35 students, so be sure to register and secure your spot early!
Your year as an officer is coming to an end and new officers are being selected. How do you leave your position gracefully? How do you ensure that the new officers are ready to continue to provide your organization with strong leadership?
A thorough leadership transition plan is:
The responsibility of both the outgoing and incoming officers
A way to help the group avoid starting over or starting from scratch every year
Minimizes the confusion of leadership changeover
A great opportunity for outgoing leaders to evaluate the year
Helps incoming leadership absorb the special expertise of the outgoing leadership.
Just a reminder- each FSL Chapter has a locker in the Schmidt Academic Center (SAC) paid for by FSL. This is where your chapter can place items for tabling, your FSL chapter table cloth, and other things the chapter needs to store. If you need to be reminded of your locker # and combination, please email FSL at fsl@depaul.edu and we can provide you with that information.
Events with Alcohol Reminder
Event with Alcohol Registration:
All events with alcohol must be registered on DeHUB 14 business days (Monday – Friday) prior to the event with alcohol taking place.
For the registration of an event with alcohol to be considered complete, it must include the following:
An updated Liquor Liability Insurance from the third-party venue where the event is being held, submitted with the registration.
An updated Liquor License from the third-party venue where the event is being held, submitted with the registration.
A full list of Sober Monitors (members of the fraternity/sorority). Note: FSL requires that there is 1 Sober Monitor for every 15 attendees.
A full event description, including but not limited to, food being served, anticipated attendee count, the presence of your chapter advisor, transportation needs.
Risk Management Meeting:
Once a complete registration of an event with alcohol is submitted, the Chapter’s President and Risk Manager (or equivalent position) are required to schedule and meet with their FSL Chapter Coach no less than 7 business days (Monday – Friday) prior to the event with alcohol.
In this risk management meeting, the chapter and advisor will discuss the event with alcohol and develop a risk management plan.
This meeting is to be requested and scheduled by the chapter officers.
FSL Resource Page
We have just updated our FSL DeHUB website. This website was created to provide chapters with a one stop shop for all things you may need for FSL as a member or an officer. The website has information on overviews of our councils, a resource page for FSL forms & surveys (which is linked on the side) as well as a helpful resource page for things such as SAF-B and CAF-B funding, catering from chartwells, and more. Save the links to your computers or devices and reference them as often as you'd like!
