Faculty Advisor
Goran Kuljanin serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University. He primarily teaches courses on business and people analytics. His courses cover topics such as data visualization, analytical notebooks, unsupervised and supervised learning, natural language processing, web scraping, time series forecasting, business process analytics, and organizational network analysis.
President
Shambhavi is a second-year graduate student in human resources at DePaul. With a background in recruitment, she’s passionate about employee engagement, HR trends, and how people practices can create better workplaces. Outside of school, she enjoys planning road trips and reconnecting with nature. As part of the KHRMS board this year, she’s excited to help make it a supportive and energizing space for students exploring careers in HR.
Vice President
Harshitha is a first-year MSHR student at DePaul who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to work alongside this talented team! Her commitment to Human Resources is deeply rooted in a strong sense of empathy and a profound interest in people, which is the driving force behind her decision to pursue this field. Her confidence and resilience gained from navigating new experiences, like moving to a new country, have reinforced her belief in learning from every opportunity rather than dwelling on past decisions. She eager to apply this positive, growth-oriented mindset, contribute to collective goals, and hit the ground running for a successful year.
Marketing Chair
Sonika is a second-year graduate student in Human Resources. Having worked with NGOs, supporting their digital marketing initiatives, she is also passionate about blending her creativity with an analytical approach to create meaningful experiences and connections. A fun fact about her is that eating shrimp will make her day go from 0 to 100! She is excited to enhance KHRMS social media presence and help her classmates engage and build connections.
Outreach Chair
Hooriyeh Ali is the Outreach Chair for the KHRMS Chapter and a first year MSHR student. She has prior experience in roles such as Talent Manager, HR Business Partner, and People & Culture Manager, and is passionate about implementing data-driven people strategies. She is also currently pursuing her Certified Associate in Project Management certification. Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, and now based in Toronto, Canada, she enjoys hiking, cooking, reading and chilling with her cat. Fun fact: she’s an adrenaline junkie who has tried bungee jumping, ziplining, and rappelling, with skydiving next on her list!
Treasurer
Junrong (Rola) Qian is a Master’s student in Human Resources at DePaul University and is excited to serve as the Treasurer for DePaul’s KHRMS chapter this year. She is passionate about employee engagement and global HR practices. A fun fact about her is that she studied abroad in Tokyo for one semester during her undergraduate studies in the U.S.
Events Chair
Amanuel is a first-year MSHR student at DePaul and brings solid experience in global talent acquisition from both strategic and operational perspectives. Originally from Ethiopia, he spent five years in Poland completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, which exposed him to diverse cultures and ways of collaborating. He is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and values curiosity, continuous learning, and a global mindset as guiding principles in his HR journey. He looks forward to broadening his expertise beyond recruitment and contributing to shared goals this year.
