DIG was originally established in AQ 2024

With no clubs at DePaul that focused on trading and quantitative finance, Demetri Frangiadakis set out to build DePaul Investment Group to cater towards traders, mathematicians, and computer scientists looking for a community of like-minded individuals.

The First Hit Quarter: OCC 4-Part Series

The first major success with DIG events was a four part series from different employees at the Options Clearing Corporation. The topics covered in this series were options clearing, market data, options quotes, and risk management.

DIG x City Quants

Demetri calls Thomas Zaborenko, a financial mathematics student at DePaul who had shared the same ideas and passion to create the best trading club at DePaul University. Thomas and his quant team join DIG.

AQ 2025 - We Hit Gold: The Goldman Sachs Event

Although DIG is primarily focused on trading, our student board hosted the largest event of 2025 at DePaul University with Goldman Sachs. This event had over 100 students attend with a pizza party to cap it off.

WQ 2026 - Hungry for Options?

We hit off the new year with star hosts from tastylive who brought a copy of Julia Spina's book 'The Unlucky Investor's Guide to Options Trading'. The event started with personal finance, then moved to options 101, and capped it off with a few options strategies.
