Futures & Trading Career Panel
The DePaul Investment Group encourages members and students interested in markets, trading, and alternative finance careers to attend tomorrow’s Breaking Into the Futures Industry panel hosted by the Arditti Center for Risk Management, in partnership with the College of Law and NIBA.
This session will feature DePaul alumni and industry professionals from trading firms, brokerages, and financial services who will discuss how they built their careers in the futures and derivatives industry. Panelists will share how they secured their first roles, what their day-to-day work looks like, and how students canbegin positioning themselves for opportunities in trading and market-focused careers.
Students will gain direct exposure to professionals working in futures, options, and global derivatives markets, and learn how different majors and skill sets can lead to these roles. The discussion will provide practical insight into career paths that are often less visible to students but remain highly dynamic and closely tied to global financial markets.
The DePaul Investment Group strongly recommends attending if your schedule allows, particularly for students interested in trading, risk management, brokerage careers, or exploring areas of finance beyond traditional paths.
