About Us

The DePaul Alliance for Latinx Empowerment believes that the various events we organize, not only strengthen our Latin American roots, but also empower Latinx students at DePaul to become unified leaders in the Latinx community. D.A.L.E. is often referred to as the oldest and largest Latinx-oriented organization at DePaul University.

Award Winning Organization

23rd Annual Latinx Graduation Ceremony 2019

DALE was the official recipient of the Student Organization Recognition Award at the 23rd Annual Graduation Ceremony on May 18th, 2019. This award was given in recognition of DALE's outstanding service & leadership to the DePaul community. Receiving recognition from the Latinx community at DePaul would not have happened without the dedication of current and past leadership, including former Presidents Paulina Marquez 19' & Michael Contreras Aceves 19'. We would not have received this award if it weren't for our familia who have always shown us love and support. Your commitment to our organization allows us to carry on DALE's legacy and mission of empowering its members.

DALE's Independently Run Podcast "Spanglish with DALE"

How it Started

DALE's 2019-2020 executive board came up with the idea of making our general body meetings more accessible to students with strenuous schedules. We understand you need to catch the train and can't always make every general body meeting. In our podcasts, our executive board members discuss various topics from a Latinx student perspective. We even have awesome guests on our show, such as the first elected Latina President of the Student Government Association, Gisselle Cervantes. Active members will also have the opportunity to help co-host the podcast as well.
