Mission
We are a collective of students in the College of Computing and Digital Media looking to provide a platform for the personal and professional growth of DePaul students in the UX industry. Our values are fellowship, growth, and advancement of students at DePaul.

DePaul University's mission emphasizes values such as diversity, inclusivity, community service, and a commitment to fostering academic and professional growth. The XD Roundtable (XDR) student organization can align with and support these values in several key ways: Welcoming Environment: XDR can create a welcoming environment for all students, regardless of their backgrounds. This aligns with DePaul's commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Actions: Host events that celebrate different cultures and backgrounds. Ensure that meetings and communications are inclusive and respectful of all members. Representation: Ensure that the executive board and active members represent the diverse student body of DePaul. Actively recruit members from various disciplines, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Create leadership opportunities for underrepresented groups. Educational Events: Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures that provide valuable knowledge and skills relevant to students’ academic and professional lives. Partner with faculty and industry professionals to provide insights into various fields. Offer sessions on resume building, networking, and interview preparation. Mentorship Programs: Develop mentorship programs that connect newer students with experienced mentors. Pair new members with mentors who can guide them in their academic and professional journey. Host regular check-ins and support sessions. Community Service: Engage in community service projects that give back to the local community and foster a sense of social responsibility. Organize volunteer opportunities and community service events. Collaborate with local organizations to address community needs. Networking Events: Create opportunities for students to network with each other, alumni, and professionals. Actions: Host networking events, mixers, and panel discussions that facilitate connections and relationship-building. By aligning its activities with DePaul University’s mission, XDR can contribute to the overall goals of the university while enriching the student experience. This alignment will not only enhance the impact of XDR but also ensure that it plays a vital role in the DePaul community.
