About Us

Esencia Dance Company at DePaul University is dedicated to creating a unified community of students from all backgrounds through the shared interest of Latin dance. Our mission is to create opportunities for student members to explore and grow in a variety of Latin dance genres through performances at both DePaul and Chicago dance festivals, networking and fundraising events. As well as community collaborations. Built on pillars of teamwork, fitness, and cultural awareness, Esencia aims to expand visibility of the Latinx community at DePaul and beyond
