Subject: *Action Needed* Organizing for a Cultural Center for Disabled Students

Accessible Futures DePaul April 14th, 2022

Hi all,

My name is Gwenyth True and I am the current President of AFD.  I'm so glad to be a part of this wonderful community!

For those of you that are new to AFD, I wanted to catch you up on a project we've been working on this year.  Disabled activists around campus have been organizing to propose the creation of a Disability Cultural Center.

There's finally a concrete step we can take towards the creation of the center!  There's currently a survey circulating to gauge the climate for Disabled students at DePaul.  These responses are super important because they will help support our proposal for the center.

This is where you come in:

1)  Take the survey!  If you have any condition that impacts your daily life and may be considered a disability, we need your feedback.  This could mean you experience a chronic illness, mental health condition, neurodivergence, or countless other things.  The survey is anonymous.

2) Share the survey with your network!  The more responses we get, the better we can support our proposal.  Feel free to share the flyer below with your network.  These responses will help support meaningful, lasting change at DePaul.

Thank you again for being here and for helping spread the word about this important survey.  Contact me with any questions/concerns.

All my best,

Gwen
