About Us

SWANA Cultural Association hosted by DePaul University is a group of students of Southwest Asian and North African descent dedicated to the education of the DePaul community at large of the history, languages, and cultures of the SWANA region. SWANA CA hopes to facilitate a safe space and atmosphere for students to have a community on campus. This shall be done through hosting events and activities throughout the school year. SWANA CA aims to create an inclusive community for individuals from similar heritages and cultures as well as the general DePaul community. In alignment with DePaul University's Vincentian values, SWANA CA is committed to fostering a spirit of dignity, respect, and service in all of its efforts.
