About Us
To create an environment where people interested in fighting against issues in the criminal justice system can be in community, educate themselves and others, and take action. We are an open community and accept people with all levels of knowledge surrounding these issues. Students Against Incarceration (SAI) aims to fulfill the Vincentian mission of promoting the inherent dignity of all people including marginalized peoples through the education of social injustices occurring within the criminal justice system. SAI works towards fulfilling the Vincentian mission by promoting direct service through volunteer activities and advocating for incarcerated individuals' rights. SAI aims to work with the DePaul and Chicago community to educate others on social justice matters regarding the criminal justice system, and to connect the community with local efforts/organizations to help current issues in marginalized communities affected by the criminal justice system.
