Driehaus Puzzle Hunt 2023

Welcome to the Driehaus Puzzle Hunt!

The Driehaus Puzzle Hunt is a competitive and collaborative scavenger hunt created in partnership with the Center for Teaching and Learning’s DIGI Lab. 

The race begins during the Division of Mission and Ministry’s Mini Vinny Fest on Tuesday, September 26th from 2-4 p.m. and will close during the Office of Student Involvement’s Loop Open House on Wednesday, October 11th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Open to all currently enrolled students, the puzzle hunt emphasizes Driehaus College of Business departments, centers, and resources while also encouraging cross-college exploration of the Loop campus. Students can expect puzzles to take them through the DePaul Center, the Daley Building, and the Lewis Center.

Game overview:  Students will start by choosing from 5 puzzle tracks, including – Visionary, Organizer, Communicator, Designer, and Technologist. Players will have two weeks to complete their puzzle track, and the final puzzle will be easier to complete if they collaborate with players who selected a different track.  Everyone who finishes gets a prize and will be entered to win a limited-edition prize.

How to Play:

1. Register to play on DeHub
2. Attend the Tue. 9/26 Loop Mini Vinny Fest to pick a puzzle track and pick up your playing materials
3. Start solving! 

How to Redeem & Enter Prize Pack Raffle:

• Must be present in person during the Wed. 10/11 Loop Open House
• Each puzzle track completed will be 1 raffle entry
• Teams that complete the hunt together will each receive 1 additional raffle entry per track completed (up to 5 entries per student)

Important Safety Reminders
For the safety of our DePaul community:

• Players are required to wear their limited-edition lanyards while actively working on the puzzle. 
• Whether you play as an individual or team, we strongly recommend that gameplay occur Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for increased player safety.
• Please review DePaul's Public Safety website and familiarize yourself with resources such as the inter-campus shuttle and note the location of blue emergency call boxes on campus. Report any criminal activity or suspicious individuals to Public Safety at 312-362-8400 (Loop) or 773-325-7777 (Lincoln Park).

Can't make it to Mini Vinny or the Loop Open House?

• The Loop Life Office will serve as our Puzzle Hunt Hub, home to additional puzzle tracks and lanyards for those who can’t attend Mini Vinny Fest. After the Loop Open House on Wednesday, October 11th, players can pick up their prize but will no longer be eligible to enter the prize pack raffle.
