Blue Demon Welcome | DePaul's New Student Convocation

Join us for Blue Demon Welcome on Tuesday, September 3! Blue Demon Welcome is DePaul's annual New Student Convocation that celebrates the beginning of the DePaul journey for all new students including freshman, graduate, and transfer students. This celebration at the start of the academic year welcomes new students to DePaul.

First year and new transfer students will join us in McGrath-Phillips Arena for our lively academic welcome delivered by university leadership. As part of the celebration, first year and new transfer students will then process in the New Student Cavalcade from McGrath-Phillips Arena to the Quad for The Bash, a celebration to kick off the academic year! The Bash will include a Chicago food festival, music, interactives stations, and more!

Schedule of Events:
3:00 p.m. - Blue Demon Welcome Check In begins
New first year students, new graduate students, and transfer students meet in McGrath-Phillips Arena
3:45 p.m. - Academic Welcome
4:15 p.m. - Blue Demon Welcome Ends
4:15 p.m. - New Student Cavalcade from McGrath-Phillips Arena to Quad
4:30-8 p.m. - The Bash! Featuring Chicago food festival, performances, and interactive stations
Returning students, faculty, and staff join us on the quad for The Bash starting at 4:30pm
