Steve Butler is a Senior Director at Slalom, where he heads up the Global Data & Technology Strategy team and supports the Data & Analytics practices in Slalom’s 43 markets in 5 countries. He built his first commercial model as an MBA research assistant in The University of Alabama’s Alabama Productivity Center using special software built at the University of Chicago and has had a passion for Data & Analytics ever since. He started his career at Accenture in Government and Defense, then moved to the Telecommunications industry where he worked in and eventually led analytics organizations. The variety of Consulting drew him back, and he left industry to lead the business & industry consulting team for Teradata, covering the Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment, and Utilities sectors of North America. Besides keeping up with a sophomore at William & Mary and two middle school children, his free time is spent traveling with his entrepreneur wife, walking Bentley the Boxer, following his sports teams (Crimson Tide, Predators, Titans), and fighting for gender pay equity.
Tessa Mackay is a Talent Acquisition Manager at Slalom in Chicago, where she leads all Associate Consulting Recruiting efforts. Tessa is a DePaul Alumni and graduated in 2016, and she majored in Communication and Media. She describes herself as a people person and prides herself on the strong relationships she builds with all of her candidates. Tessa started at Slalom three years ago and recruited for their Technical Practices such as Technology Enablement and Data & Analytics. Tessa is currently on a mission to hire 77 amazing Associate Consultants in Slalom Chicago's June and September Cohorts for 2022. She enjoys spending time with her puppy Vivi who constantly keeps her on her toes. She loves health and fitness and is always trying a new class or activity. She is very passionate about Women in Technology and is excited to continue making a difference at Slalom!
Steven Kaplan is a Principal at Slalom in their Business Advisory Services practice, where he focuses on strategy and operations for Life Sciences organizations. Before Slalom, Steven worked at Oracle implementing SaaS for the construction industry. He started his consulting career with Huron Consulting Group, implementing PeopleSoft at Higher Education systems across the country. He started his career working for Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity as an Educational Leadership Consultant and Director of Expansion and continues to be an active volunteer for the fraternity today. Steven graduated from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in 2010 and leveraged his MBA to start a consulting career. Steven loves spending time with his family, especially his two young boys, traveling, sports, and live music.
Mindy Seidler is a Delivery Director at Slalom, with 15+ years of consulting experience across various industries and industry experience in manufacturing and healthcare. Her entire career has been in the Data & Analytics space, beginning with Business Intelligence and data warehousing development, and continuing to lead and drive large-scale, complex, multi-capability projects. She has a passion for developing people and their careers, is heavily involved in building internal initiatives to support the Data & Analytics practice, and co-leads the Chicago facet of the Slalom Women: Women In Tech Employee Resource Group. In addition, Mindy enjoys competitive Masters swimming, triathlons, and time outdoors in the fantastic Chicago summer weather.
