Ignite Dance Company endeavors to foster an empowering community of collegiate dancers through holding weekly rehearsals and team hangouts, creating and performing self-choreographed pieces, and attending a dance convention and competition. These experiences are undertaken with the goal of creating a space for dancers to embody confidence inside and out.
Members on Ignite Dance Company get to continue dancing with a competitive club. Ignite participates in workshops, showcases and competitions and members get the opportunity to join teams and learn routines and showcase them at various events. Team members get to continue developing and working on their technique and skills during weekly team practices and full team rehearsals. Ignite also works to promote team bonding and community. Ignite also engages in acts of service to help our larger Chicago community.
