About Us

The mission of Flora and Fauna Club is to further educate like-minded and passionate individuals on biodiversity in an urban setting through a national lens. We aim to bring education and awareness to the DePaul community by listening to diverse ecological perspectives and academic research, while understanding our own interconnectedness to the Earth and ourselves. Through the Vincentian value of “What must be done?”, we open the conversation to fostering a community wide reflection on present and future conservation initiatives.

Members Benefits

As a member, students will get the knowledge to explore the vast identities of the environment around us. From exploring the ecosystem and how it works, reading scholarly articles, hearing professional talks to volunteering at museums, animal rehabilitation facilities, conservatories, students will have the opportunity to build upon and/or harbor a building sense of love and care for the world we live in. Flora, meaning plants, and Fauna, meaning animals; this club will encompass what it means to be a part of Earth as we know it. What goes on in the environmental world is a topic we should all know about and this club will hope to build upon this knowledge.
