In today's political climate, the presidential election can bring a lot of stressful feelings to folks of marginalized identities. Regardless of the candidate that is elected there are implications that could create harm and strife in peoples' lives. On Wednesday, November 6, the Cultural & Resource Centers are partnering with the Women's Center, Center for Latino Research, Health Promotions & Wellness, African and Black Diaspora Studies, and LGBTQ+ Studies to host Processing Politics. This event will run from 12:30-5:00PM and feature 4 educational workshops, guided discussion with mental health professions, destressing activities, and a community forum. Through this program, we hope to assist in easing any feelings of hopelessness and/or anxiety while igniting a passion for direct action and social change. Come to Processing Politics to discuss the importance of community, power building, and political action.

We invite you to listen and learn from local community organizers representing ANSWER Coalition, CODE Pink, Healthy Hood, and the Malcom X Grassroots Movement. The forum will discuss what community organizing looks like in the Chicagoland area and how to get involved! The Community Forum will be hosted from 4:00-5:00PM.
