Faith and Culture on the Reservation

All are welcome to the CCM for a zoom conversation with Sr. Barbara, who runs the parish activity and service at Our Lady of the Sioux Parish, a small but mighty Catholic Church that serves as a center of faith, community, and hope in the middle of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota- an area rich in natural beauty, heritage and history, but also one of the poorest zipcodes in the U.S. Come to learn about life on the reservation and at the parish, and how the cultural identity of the Native American people of Our Lady of the Sioux informs their faith, as well as what we can learn from their perseverance and how we here at DePaul can support them!
