Here a few Voluneer or Employment Opportunities that may be great for experience:
VOLUNTEER: During the summer Kidnectivity runs a half-day, day camp for children with cerebral palsy/hemiplegia. The camp program is focused on helping each camper work on personal goals in a fun, social, group environment. We keep the program small with a maximum of 8 kiddos enrolled. Our OTs and PTs conduct the program with the assistance of 2 OT students. We assign each camper a personal counselor, and that's where there is opportunity for your students. Volunteers work one-on-one with a child to help them with their activities and assist the therapist with treatment. It is lots of hands-on experience and would be a great learning opportunity for anyone looking to learn more about OT and PT.
We are looking to fill a few more volunteer openings and I wondered if any of your students would be interested. We run 2 sessions:
Session 1 June 19th - July 8th, Mon-Fri, 9am-12pm
Session 2 July 10th-July 28th, Mon-Fri, 9am-12pm
