About Us

The purpose of the Student Veterans Union is to foster a community that actively supports the academic, professional, and personal development of student veterans and their allies. We are committed to developing, facilitating, and implementing initiatives that advocate for three central pillars: Academic and Professional Success: We strive to provide resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities that support veterans in achieving their educational goals and preparing for careers beyond the university. Healthy Transition to Civilian Life: We recognize the challenges veterans face as they transition from military to academic and civilian environments. Through programming, peer support, and campus partnerships, we aim to ease this transition and promote overall well-being. Bridging the Civilian-Military Divide: By encouraging open dialogue and collaboration between veteran and non-veteran students, we aim to foster mutual understanding, build lasting relationships, and strengthen our campus community.
