About Me
Yacob is from Chicago and is currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management and International Business at DePaul University. His interest in consulting comes from a desire to understand how businesses operate across borders and how strategy, logistics, and decision-making connect in real situations. Throughout college, he has focused on building strong analytical and communication skills through his work, course work, and student involvement. Outside of school, Yacob enjoys training in Jiu-Jitsu, traveling, and working on personal business ideas that push him to think independently and practically.
Professional Experience
Yacob has gained hands-on experience with College Works Painting, where he worked in sales and day-to-day business operations. He regularly spoke with homeowners, learned how to understand their needs, and provided estimates while building strong relationships through clear and honest communication. Through this role, he developed confidence in client-facing work, improved his problem-solving skills, and gained a practical understanding of how a service-based business runs. Overall, the experience helped him become more adaptable, comfortable taking initiative, and better at working with people in real-world situations.
Future Aspirations
Post-graduation, Yacob aims to work in consulting or a strategy focused role that connects supply chains, international business, and operations. He wants to be in an environment where he can solve real problems, think across borders, and help businesses improve how they move, scale, and make decisions. Ultimately, he is looking for a career that challenges him consistently, allows him to keep developing practical problem-solving skills, and exposes him to diverse teams and industries.
