About Us

To provide a safe environment for new and experienced climbers. - Our club's purpose is to introduce new and experienced rock climbers to the Chicago and Midwest climbing community. DePaul University is deeply rooted in education, experience in the real world, and community engagement, and we feel that our organization accomplishes all three. As climbers, we strive to support one another (literally and metaphorically) both on the wall and on the ground. We take pride in the fact that even a seasoned climber can learn from someone that is new to the sport, as new climbing techniques and moves are being discovered every day. After all, everyone sees a different route on the wall, and that is the essence of climbing. By using Chicago's various climbing gyms as our stage, we encourage all to engage with the greater climbing community at our fingertips. We hope that members will find passion in conquering the rock walls, and that this passion may help them navigate the rock walls of life.
