About Us

DePaul’s Chinese Studies Association serves the University’s community of Chinese language learners by creating a network wherein students can utilize their language skills and expand their cultural knowledge outside of the classroom. CSA is committed to fostering a supportive environment for the University's Chinese language learning community and students in our broader Chinese Studies program. By establishing a center for student life among students with shared academic interests in Chinese language and culture, we hope to bridge gaps between academic life, campus life, and getting in touch with our broader Chicago community.

Events & Activities

Every Quarter our eBoard comes up with an engaging and interesting lineup of weekly meetings, all which focus on some aspect of the Chinese Culture and/or language. Some of our most popular events are our quarterly trip to Chinatown, our Calligraphy workshop, and our Traditional Tea Ceremony (led by Dr. Louis Liu, the Chinese Department Head). There is always something new to experience and learn!

The path to studying abroad and through the many programs DePaul offers can be confusing. CSA offers members the 'ins and outs' of the Chinese departmental programs. We provide our members with the faculty networking and program knowledge necessary to plan their future academic careers effectively.
