Mission
The goal of DePaul's Black Student Union is to establish a unifying network within the black diaspora by exploring intersectionality of the black cultural experience. We aim to provide a space where students feel a sense of belonging through meaningful; programming, activities, and workshops. The Black Student Union fosters an atmosphere that promotes student's academic professional, social, and overall well-being.

The Black Student Union connect to the DePaul University Mission because it serves students, particularly Black students, who are a minority on campus and need a safe space where they can relate to other students like them, engage in familiar cultural activities, and build and serve in their communities. One of the things BSU stands for is community and by building the Black community and teaching others, we build DePaul's community.
